• These series consist of sculptural arrangements of dissected parts of the lamb in the context of classic still life scenes. My aim was to give each heterogeneous part an elevated status by substituting them with ideal subjects of still life scenery. Some have adopted a superior authority where they have been placed by subverting the norms of the ideal.

The aesthetics of these images both attract and repulse. The photographs create a disturbing beauty; disturbing because they are disordered, questioning the way in which humans impose order on society. They cause profound distress by bridging and thereby attacking the categories of the system and evoking one’s repressions.
